A UK Government’s definition of ‘Climate Change’ – EXCLUDES any natural causes:
from the Glossary:
“Climate ChangeThe process of changing weather patterns caused by the increased number of greenhouse gases in the global atmosphere as a result of human activity since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.”
’A guide to carbon offsetting for the public sector’ – Department of Energy and Climate Change
I wonder if the UK Government has another word defined anywhere, that describes how the Earth’s climate changes with respect to natural forcings, solar, orbital, clouds, aerosols, oceans, volcanoes, etc
Or maybe they think it doesn’t?
Public bodies in the UK are not yet obliged to buy carbon offsets.
The fact that the UK Public Sector may CHOOSE to waste taxpayers money buying carbon offsets, when their is a multi-trillion pound UK deficit, is just a bit annoying. Approved providers, include JPMORGAN Chase and Barclays Capital, will no doubt be making a percentage courtesy of the UK taxpayer. I wonder what the bonuses are like in the ‘climate change’ part of the banking sector. Of course, this is just an example of the many CAGW vested financial interests.
Would an awkward sceptical question to ask be:
Why can’t ’Saving the Planet’ be a not for profit exercise, with all the revenue ploughed back into ‘Saving the Planet’?
